8 DAY TOUR
DAY 1 – INTO THE LAND OF THE BIBLE: Upon arrival, you will be met and assisted by our agent through customs, then by private motorcoach to your hotel; Dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 – MEDITERRANEAN COAST AND NAZARETH: Caesarea: visit the ruins of the Crusaders’ City surrounded by a moat and a city wall enclosing the ruins of the Roman City. Visit the Roman Theater, Megiddo: Armageddon. A very important strategic point on the Via Maris connecting Egypt and Damascus; it is the city which has witnessed many wars and suffered many destruction throughout the different wars and periods of time. Our belief is that the last battle is going to be on the hill or the pains of Megiddo. Nazareth: up to Galilee to visit the city of Nazareth tracing the early like of the Holy Family; visit the Church of the Annunciation, built in 1960-68 enclosing the crypt which is one of the largest Christian sanctuaries in the Middle East. Visit Mary’s well.
DAY 3 – TIBERIAS LAKE: Drive to Cana: where the first miracle took place – The Transformation of Water into Wine. Kursi, then proceed to Kibbutz Ein Gev, boarding a boat on the calm surface of the sea disturbed only by our boat cruising towards Capernaum. Upon landing, visit the site where Jesus started His Ministry and the house of Peter, proceed to Tabgha: visit the Church of Multiplication of loaves and fish, then to Mount of Beatitude. It was here that Christ taught the Eight Beatitudes to His Disciples.
DAY 4 – JERUSALEM: Mount Thabor: (Ascent & Decent by car), visit the Church of Transfiguration, panoramic view of plain of Esdrelon. Proceed to Beit Shean an ancient city extensive excavations have uncovered eighteen layers of habitation in Beit Shean. Continue along the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem.
DAY 5 – BETHLEHEM – NEW CITY – EIN KAREM: Bethlehem: Nativity Basilica; built on the traditional cave where Jesus was born, visit the Crusader’s
Cloister and the caves of St. Jerome and the Holy Innocents on the Shepherd’s Fields, view mount and the fields of the Boaz and Ruth. Visit the Knesset or the House of Parliament, visit the Shrine of the Book enclosing the Scrolls of the Dead Sea, visit the National Museum, and the Model of the Second Temple. Drive to Ein Karem, visit the place of the Visitation where our lady came to visit her cousin Elizabeth. View the plaques with the Magnificat in most languages of the world, visit the parish church of St. John the Baptist, and the Grotto of his birth.
DAY 6 – JERUSALEM: Drive to Mount of Olives with its outstanding view of the city, visit the Chapel of all Ascension, Church of Pater Noster, Garden of Gethsemane, Church of All Nations, view of the Kidron Valley. Mt. Zion: Dormition the site where Jesus accomplished His Ministry; visit the room of the Last Supper, visit the Tomb of King David. OLD CITY: Via Dolorosa, visit temple area, where Solomon’s temple was build on Mount Moriah, visit the Dome of the Rock enclosing the Rock of Sacrifice, the Mosque of Al-Aksa, further south, the Pinnacle of the Temple and the Western Wall or the Wailing Wall. St. Anne, Pool of Bethesda, Lithostrotos, Pilate’s Judgment Hall, and walk on the Via Dolorosa leading us to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
DAY 7 – THE WILDERNESS OF JUDEA: Leave Jerusalem and drive to Bethany to visit the Tomb of Lazarus, the House of Mary and Martha, continue to visit the Inn of the Good Samaritan. Continue to Jericho visit Elishah’s Fountain, view the Mt. of Temptation, and visit Tel El Sultan. Proceed to Qumran where the Scrolls of the Dead Sea were found by a shepherd boy. Visit Massada where the Zealots held the last foothold before they sacrificed the fortress and the ruins speak for the visitors about the Glory of Massada and of Herod’s work.
DAY 8 – TEL AVIV: Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport.
